Russ Swanson’s passion for making images began in the 7th grade when he learned to print black and white negatives in his middle school darkroom. After earning a BFA, he assisted top cinematographers in New York and Los Angeles and has gone on to amass hundreds of cinematography credits. Russ has shot on every continent except Antarctica and won Primetime Emmy Awards in 2020 and 2021 for his camerawork on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
